From the moment I walked through the doors I knew that Music Center is indeed a special place, and the sense of warmth, caring and community makes us unique within the Seattle music world. This is an exciting time at Music Center. With a committment to access and a expectation of excellence, Music Center programs bring the opportunity for musical experience to people of all ages and ability.
Music Center is dedicated to your success. Our experienced faculty has earned a reputation for helping bring their students passion for music alive, both technically and artistically. As well, you are able to interact with other student musicians, attend faculty and student performances, and when the time is right, perform yourself. Our students tell us this sense of community sets Music Center apart and we work hard to keep this spirit alive.
We have a stake in getting you involved at Music Center because it helps to make our community a better place. I am saddened when someone comments to me that they have no talent, and getting involved in a music program would be a waste of time. We know that as we help you discover your musical talent, we are also unleashing your creative and artistic energy. That is the true power of music and by choosing to study it; you make a difference for yourself that Music Center and the rest of your world get to share.
