Oana Rusu Tomai, piano

Oana Tomai photoOana holds an MM from the University of Oklahoma and a DMA in Piano Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music. She has had many solo, masterclasses, and collaborative performances in both North America and Eastern Europe, and has participated in Pecs (Hungary), Brevard, Aspen and Chautauqua music festivals. Her most influential teachers were Andrew Cooperstock and Rebecca Penneys.

She was a guest artist for the George Crumb Festival University of Northern Colorado, By Crumb! at the Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle Symphony Made in America Festival at Nordstrom Recital Hall and participated in the U. W. World Series Masterclass with Vladimir Feltsman. She is currently a faculty member at the Seattle Conservatory, teaches and manages a full private studio and is a free lance classical pianist in the Northwest.
