
Nile holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Coe College and both Master of Arts and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from Stanford University. As a Fulbright scholar in 1970-72, Nile earned a performance diploma from the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna, Austria. He has been teaching for over 35 years, with experience at the primary, elementary, secondary, junior college, and university levels. He is also a member of Seattle-based vocal jazz group, Bluestreet Jazz Voices and is often called upon to coach solo vocalists as well as small ensembles. Nile also operates a private musical services business in downtown Seattle, where he writes arrangements, produces promotional CDs, and teaches voice, piano, and theory.
