
Nile holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Coe College and both Master of Arts and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from Stanford University. As a Fulbright scholar in 1970-72, Nile earned a performance diploma from the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna, Austria. He has been teaching for over 35 years, with experience at the primary, elementary, secondary, junior college, and university levels. He is often called upon to coach and adjudicate solo vocalists as well as small and large ensembles. Nile operates a private musical studio in downtown Seattle, where he teaches voice, piano, and theory, and writes arrangements, and produces promotional CDs. He has been teaching Music Together sections for the Music Center for the past three years.
