The Youth Wind Ensemble offers a fun and supportive, small-group learning environment for young musicians of all levels. Students receive expert, hands-on instruction for building fundamental musical skills, including reading music, instrument technique, playing in tune, blending and balancing, ear training, improvisation, and creative expression. The ensemble seeks to deepen its musicians’ technical skills, foster creativity, share itself with the local community, and have lots of fun in the process. Prerequisite: One year of school band experience, or current private lessons, or permission from the instructor. A $30 materials fee will be payable to the instructor at the first rehearsal.
