
Band & Orchestra Primer with instrument demosGet a head start on beginning school band and orchestra with these clinics intended to help students about to start band or orchestra for the first time with picking an instrument (free instrument demos at the start of each day) and learning the basics of tone production, note recognition, and instrument care and maintanence.
Come to one or more mornings of instrument demos, and if you pick an instrument and want to get instruction right away on how to play it, pay just $15 for a 90 minute first band/orchestra class! (instruments from the demo can be borrowed for the class)
Daily Schedule
9:30 - 10:30am: Free instrument demos; Tuition: FREE!
10:30am - 12:00pm: Beginning band & orchestra classes; Tuition: $15/class or $40 for all 3 days

Each day participants will learn fun new fiddle pieces from a wide array of American and Celtic fiddle styles. There will also be an improvisation class where children will learn how to improvise in different styles, and a variety of enrichment activities like folk dancing. Violinists ages 7 - 18 yrs. old who have at least one year of playing experience may register. Registrants will be placed into age and level appropriate sections each day. Led by Christine Dunaway.
