Workshops are intensive sessions that range in length from an afternoon to an entire week. Besides the Messiah Sing-and-Play Along in December, most workshops are held during the summer term. (Past workshops have included the Haydn Workshop, annual Suzuki Violin Workshop, the Kids Sing & Play Workshop, Beginning Band Camp, Every Child Can, and more.)

Come together with other violin friends and families for a fun day of learning, playing, and performing. The Suzuki Violin Day workshop is open to all area Suzuki Violin Students, levels Pre-Twinkle to Book 5. This year, our special guest clinician is Reagan Brasch from Chicago. The day will include group classes, a parent discussion with Reagan, a general master class, performances, and fun activities for all students. A final recital caps off the day. Bring a brown bag lunch and beverage. Snacks and juice will be provided.

Reagan earned both her Master of Music Degree with an emphasis in Suzuki Pedagogy, and her Bachelor of Music Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Denver. Among many different teachers, she has studied with: James Maurer, Pat D'Ercole, Linda Fiore, Joanne Bath, Michele George, Joanne Melvin, and Ann Smelser. Ms. Brasch has been honored with the prestigious Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) Certificate of Achievement in 2014, and also Outstanding Teacher for the Alliance for Early Childhood.
Reagan regularly writes articles for the SAA Journal and E-Newsletter and is a frequent faculty at Suzuki violin workshops and summer institutes around the country. She has taught at our own Japan-Seattle Institute on various occasions.
